Homeowner's fury after paying £1,850 for 'messed up' dropped kerb outside house

A homeowner has spoken out against his local council after paying £1,850 for a shoddy dropped kerb outside his home. Gas engineer Lee Townley claims the contracts didn't use a spirit level when carrying out the work due to the prevalence of big gaps and chipped kerbstones.

Despite the 40-year-old applying to Trent City Council for the work to be fixed, with the council sending out workers four times, he is still not pleased with the quality of the kerb, StokeonTrent Live reports.“I applied to have the kerb dropped after I moved into the property," he said.

"I wanted the council to do it. They have to sign the paperwork off and it was about £400 or £500 just for the paperwork.
