A homemade explosive device went off in a cinema in the eastern Congolese city of Butembo on Monday, wounding at least three people, an army official said.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack, which security forces are investigating, local army spokesperson Anthony Mwalushayi said.
Butembo, a trading hub of almost one million people, is sometimes the target of Islamic State-linked militants known as the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
