A homeless woman has praised a North Dublin café for their welcoming nature and kind gesture.
She explained that people living on the streets can often feel shunned from local businesses.
Rosemary was blown away by her experience in Pico Cafe in Phibsborough after her dog Quilla spotted the café's resident golden retriever.
The Dublin woman was offered a free coffee from 'Ireland's smallest café' and immediately felt welcomed.
She took to Facebook to encourage others to lend their support to the local business.
Rosemary wrote:"This is Luca, from Pico Cafe in Phibsborough.
"I wanted to share a positive experience from today and would like to introduce you to an independent coffee stall I would like you to support if you’re in the locality.
"The Golden retriever is Millie and she instantly befriended Quilla, so I stopped to say hello.
"I was then offered a coffee by Luca’s friend and it was nice to feel welcomed and not shunned because I am homeless.
"I can also recommend the coffee it’s good, rich, full bodied coffee.
"We need more small independent businesses like this rather than another Starbucks, Costa, Nero etc.
"I wanted to thank Luca and his friend whose name I didn’t catch. You truly brightened up this homeless persons day with your conversation, kindness and welcoming nature."
