A woman who bought a ruined building for just over €1 and has since transformed it into her dream home.
Maxine Sharples made a decision to take part in her local council's initiative called Homes for a Pound which was created to encourage people to bring empty properties back to life.
Back in 2015, she was a post-graduate pupil, studying at Liverpool’s John Moores University when she landed the pad.
