A homeless man from Fallsington, Pennsylvania, is facing serious charges in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey after allegedly committing a string of violent crimes that left three people dead and several others injured.
The suspect, identified as Andre Gordon Jr., 26, is accused of shooting and killing his 52-year-old stepmother and 13-year-old sister in a Falls Township home. He then proceeded to another location where he allegedly shot and killed a 25-year-old woman, who was the mother of his two children.
Authorities reported that Gordon also injured another individual during the shootings but that person is expected to survive.
Following the incidents in Pennsylvania, Gordon fled to New Jersey, where he carjacked a vehicle at gunpoint before being apprehended by law enforcement officers.
Gordon is facing a multitude of charges in both states, including multiple counts of murder, burglary, assault, robbery, and possession of illegal firearms.
New Jersey officials expressed relief that the suspect was captured without further violence and pledged to work closely with Pennsylvania authorities to ensure justice is served.
The community was left in shock by the tragic events, with local events being canceled and businesses temporarily closing in response to the shelter-in-place order.
Gordon is currently being held at the Mercer County Correction Center as the investigation continues.
