The family of murdered MP Sir David Amess has slammed as “unacceptable” and “insulting” a decision by the Home Secretary not to hold a public inquiry into his death.

His daughter, Katie Amess, broke down in tears as she spoke powerfully about the decision at a press conference on Monday morning.
