Home Bargains shoppers 'save a fortune' on 'delicious' milk that's just 25p in stores

Home Bargains shoppers were stunned to find a "delicious" milk brand in stores for just 25p - even though it usually retailed for around £2. Lilk Milk, a London-based plant milk brand, could be bought at Ocado, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett, but is currently available in Home Bargains.

Lilk's Common Blend is made of oats and rice with added vitamins and minerals, while their Lush Blend is oat, coconut and quinoa, with both retailing in other supermarkets between £1.90 and £2.25 in the past. However, Home Bargains shoppers are flocking into the budget retailer to get their hands on a carton for just 25p, BristolLive reports.

The Vegan Review described the Common Blend as "incredible", while the Lush Blend has a "wonderful texture" - and Home Bargains shoppers were equally full of praise for the brand. Sharing their find in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, which has 2.2 million members, one shopper said for 25p, you couldn't go wrong.

She wrote: "I bought 1 of each to try nearly 2 weeks ago, thought it's only 25p I'll give it ago, & have been back & got 2 more last week & will get more this week, but people have different tastes, I liked it."

Another impressed shopper said they bulk-bought the milk and "saved a fortune", while a third said the plant milk tasted "better than cow's milk!"

Another person commented: "I use the green one and it's lush, doesn't curdle in tea or coffee either."

Sadly, Lilk announced on their Instagram page in January that they would be closing down after falling victim to the "supply chain crisis that is gripping the industry" - so if you want to get hold of some Lilk, you have to be quick before it disappears forever.

Shoppers have also been impressed with the store's new digital air fryer for £39.99. Posting on social media, a spokesperson said: "Brand new in stock our PIFCO Digital Air Fryer 4l is only £39.99 and is available in-store and online."

A customer wrote: "When I do my roast potatoes in it I put my Yorkshire puds in too. Just keep them level." Another said: "Love this, they're great."
