Home Bargains shoppers have praised a clothes drying product that is "cheaper than a tumble dryer" and "heats rooms too".
The budget retailer sells Freestanding Electric Clothes Dryer for the price of £34.99, and one keen-eyed shopper was eager to find out whether it was cheaper than a traditional machine.
As stated on the Home Bargains product page: "This Freestanding Electric Clothes Dryer gets your clothes dry come rain or shine. Whether you want to warm up your towels on a cold day, dry some jumpers or delicate items or air some damp clothes, this dryer is ideal with its 10kg drying capacity.

"The Clothes Dryer is lightweight and packs away for easy storage so it is perfect for when space is at a premium."
Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, the shopper asked: "Are these cheaper than running a tumble dryer?"
Before long, the post had received more than 1,000 replies from fellow consumers sharing their thoughts on the product.
One said: "Definitely cheaper than a tumble dryer, I absolutely love mine, and less ironing hang clothes on a hanger and when dry straight in wardrobe".
A second commented: "I love mine only takes 1hr20 mins to dry clothes but I never over filled it and used kids coat hangers so not touching each other and yes was definitely cheaper than a tumble dryer well it was for us!"
A third wrote: "I use mine all the time I absolutely love it!!!! It heats up the room so I don’t need to put the heating on. Win win".
"I had a dry buddy, to be honest it's the best thing I had ever own, if you load it correctly, you'll be amazed how much you can dry because you cannot dry everything in a tumble dryer," responded a fourth.
"Absolutely love mine and much cheaper than a tumble dryer," a fifth echoed.
A sixth shared: "Love my dry buddy dries clothes well minimal ironing and warms our bungalow at the same time!"
A seventh revealed: "We got rid of our tumble trier and replaced it for this. We love it. No problems with condensation and only takes about 1hr30 mins to dry clothes. We also use it as a heater as it’s cheaper than running our storage heaters".
An eighth agreed: "Yes...they heat the room too while you are using it. Hang them up on hangers inside, so NO ironing. Winner winner!"
"They also heat up the room so you don't need heating while it's on," said a ninth.
However, not everyone in the group was a fan of the electric drying product.
One said: "I had one years ago I'm not sure what it was like on the electric cost but it caused so much condensation the walls were wet through. These days I put a few washing lines up In my laundry room, stick two dehumidifiers underneath and in a couple of hours (depending how full the lines are) they're almost dry and I just stick em in the tumble dryer for 10 mins to soften them up."
A second commented: "I had one of these and it took about 6 hours to fully dry a full load.. I don't think it works out much cheaper than a tumble dryer as it takes so long! I can do the same amount in my washer dryer in an hour and that includes washing and drying".
"You can't get much in them, I'd say they are in addition to a tumble dryer not a replacement, especially towels and sheets hard to dry them in a dry buddy," agreed a third.
