Home Bargains shoppers divided by £2 treat some say tastes 'foul'

Home Bargains has left shoppers divided this week after one of its new releases was shared online.

The bargain retailer often keeps shoppers updated on new products via its social media platforms. Taking to Facebook this week, Home Bargains shared a photo of its Dark Chocolate Maltesers - and it has received a huge response from fans.

Sharing a photo of the velvet ottoman, Home Bargains wrote: “TAG a friend you would share these Maltesers Dark Chocolate with?... or not? Available in store now”. The new Maltesers are priced at £1.99.

Some shoppers were quick to share their excitement over the product, while others weren’t so keen on the dark chocolate treat. Among the comments, one person wrote: “Love dark chocolate, love Maltesers”.

A second said: “Omg!! I know where I'm going tomorrow” and a third added: “Oh yes gotta try these x” Another wrote: “Love me dark chocolate got to get some off them”.

Others disagreed on the product, with some labelling it “wrong” and “foul”. Beneath the post, one shopper said: “Sorry that's just sooooooo wrong...you cannot have dark chocolate Maltesers”.

A second wrote: “The plain chocolate was too strong - couldn't taste the malteser - will stick to milk ones” and a third added: “I love dark chocolate but I actually binned these”. Another said: “foul, tasted and binned!”
