We are used to seeing high street supermarkets selling dupes of high-end products at bargain prices but Home Bargains has got the real thing when it comes to a luxury shower gel - but with a price tag of just 99p. Amazed shoppers spotted the deal and shared the news online.
Kiwi Botanicals Nourishing Shower Gel for Women in Manuka Honey scent lined the shelf in one Home Bargains store. The luxury brand usually has a recommended retail price of £60 but had a 'star buys' shelf price ticket showing at less than a pound.
Picking up the bargain, the savvy shopper who spotted the find wrote on Facebook: "For pennies compared to the online price of £60 per bottle of shower gel, I took a look this morning and got this little lot. Not sure how much the body conditioner should be but that as well as the shower gel is only 99p in Home Bargains. Will look in a different store tomorrow to see if they have any other items from the collection."

Many shoppers were keen to try out the product for themselves, reported Manchester Evening News, who spotted the post on Extreme Couponing and Bargains. Another shopper who had been lucky enough to find the product at the knock-down price said: "A bargain! Tried last night skin feels really soft today." And it seems other products from the brand have also been snapped up.
Comments from shoppers in the group continued: "I couldn’t get the body butter but got the face cleanser, shower gel and body conditioner." But while some were enjoying their little luxury, others were horrified at the thought of splashing out on a bottle of shower gel at the recommended retail price of £60. One shopper wrote: "Who would buy a bottle of shower gel for £60? Even Molton Brown doesn’t cost that." Another said: "Those original prices are mad! just proves to me how much profit these big companies are making and what fools we are to cough up the full amount!"
We found the product on the Ninth Avenue website being advertised at £36.30 from a recommended retail price of £60.00. Shoppers say you can find the Kiwi Botanicals range in Home Bargains stores now. Stocks may vary.
