Holotropic breathwork: A path to healing and spiritual awakening

In the pursuit of healing and self-discovery, a unique and transformative practice known as Holotropic Breathwork is gaining recognition worldwide. Developed by Stanislav Grof and his late wife, Christina Grof, this method aims to help individuals access expanded states of consciousness by utilizing the power of their breath, music, and focused bodywork. The results have been profound, with many participants reporting an enhanced connection with their inner spiritual source and remarkable physical and emotional healing.

The core of Holotropic Breathwork revolves around accelerated breathing techniques, synchronized with carefully chosen music and supported by targeted bodywork. As individuals engage in this process, they can delve into levels of awareness that often remain beyond the reach of our ordinary consciousness. This unique combination of elements allows participants to release physical stress, experience deep emotional healing, and create a space where profound spiritual experiences can occur.

For those seeking a departure from more traditional forms of healing and meditation, Holotropic Breathwork offers a path to explore the depths of their psyche and spirituality. Many practitioners have reported not only a newfound sense of inner strength but also a heightened connection with their inner selves.

One of the pioneers in introducing Holotropic Breathwork to India and other parts of the world is Fr. K.C. Thomas, who holds a Master's in Philosophy and a Diploma in Integral Counseling Psychology. With an extensive background in education and psychology, Fr. K.C. Thomas has been a faculty member at prestigious institutions like Montfort College (Bangalore), Institute of St. Anselm (Kent, U.K), and Sophia Centre (Holy Names University, California).

Currently, Fr. K.C. Thomas serves as the Founder Director of the Don Bosco Institute of Psychology and Spirituality in Trivandrum, India. He is also a research scholar at Sedona University (US) and represents Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT-US) for India and Sri Lanka. Since 2015, he has conducted over 85 Holotropic Breathwork workshops in India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the U.S., and Kenya.

For more information about his workshops and the profound experiences they offer, interested individuals can contact Fr. K.C. Thomas and explore the world of Holotropic Breathwork

Fr. K.C. Thomas is holding a 2-day workshop at Zorba, New Delhi on November 4 and 5.
