Hollywood legend Al Pacino has postponed his much-anticipated upcoming 'evening with fans' in south Wales. The 82-year-old movie superstar was due to make a special appearance at Newport's International Convention Centre on Monday, May 1.
Billed as an 'unmissable' night for followers of the Oscar-winning icon's long glittering career, An Experience With Al Pacino was set to include an exclusive live on-stage interview with the man himself, followed by a three-course dinner, music and an auction featuring signed bespoke Pacino memorabilia. Tickets were set to start from £61.38.
However, the Scent of A Woman and Godfather actor has now had to postpone the show due to 'a scheduling clash'. A spokesperson for An Experience With, the company behind the shindig, said, "Unfortunately this date has had to be postponed due to Mr Pacino's commitments.

"We emailed all ticket holders to inform them of this and have also included details should anyone wish to claim a refund. We are currently working on rescheduling new dates.
"As soon as these are confirmed we shall be contacting all ticket holders again and also making an official announcement." Other dates on the UK tour, including one in Glasgow, have also disappeared from its itinerary.
That said, Pacino's appearance at the Intercontinental London, opposite the O2 in Greenwich, is still set to go ahead on Sunday April 23. One of the few actors in the business to have achieved the triple crown of acting - winning an Oscar, an Emmy Award and a Tony Award - Pacino's other notable performances include his roles in Scarface, Dog Day Afternoon, Heat and, most recently, Netflix's The Irishman, alongside Robert De Niro.
He's currently in the US filming a detective thriller called Sniff. In it Pacino plays opposite Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren as an ageing crime kingpin.
