Pitch Perfect and Senior Year star Rebel Wilson has encouraged her fans to be the best version of themselves and celebrate their body in an inspirational Instagram post in which she addresses holiday weight gain.
The 42-year-old actress, who over the last two years has undergone an incredible body transformation, losing 80lbs, posted a glamorous picture of herself while on holiday in Turkey with friends and her partner Ramona Agruma at the Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort - according to her Instagram - in an off-the-shoulder fuscia swimsuit and white sarong on the picture platform.

The snap was accompanied by a message of empowerment and body positivity which read: "I just noticed I put on 3kgs on my holiday. I’m at an amazing all-inclusive resort…I’ve lost all self control. But you know what? I can get up tomorrow and go to the gym, and hydrate and eat healthy and love myself.
"It doesn’t help to be hard on yourself but I know what it’s like to feel guilty and not great after eating too much. But if you’re like me just know YOU are more than just your weight, your weight doesn’t define you, just try your best to be healthy and don’t be so hard on yourself."
The comedian added: "Be the best version of you."
The Australian star has been the talk of public conversion in recent years for not only her acting and comedic abilities but her new svelte look after losing five stone.
At the start of 2020, she decided to undergo a complete lifestyle overhaul, embarking on a fitness journey and turning bad eating habits into "healthier ones".
At the time, Rebel posted to Instagram: "Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called “The Year of Health” - so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?"
This change was spurred on by a variety of factors, one including her desire to be a mother. In 2019, Rebel - who has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) - was told by a fertility doctor she'd have a better chance at harvesting and freezing her eggs if she lost weight.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: "I was taken aback. I thought, 'Oh God, this's guy's so rude.' He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It's almost like I didn't think of my own needs. I thought of a future child's needs that really inspired me to get healthier."
The lockdown in 2020 was also a major catalyst in the star's weight loss, she told People in November of that same year. "I definitely think the slow down, it did help. I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times, because I wasn't loving myself enough either," she said. "And it does come down to that self-worth and self-love."
She added how she previously would consume 3,000 calories most days of mostly carbs - which would not feed her hunger properly..
“So, I've really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast.”
And with a healthier lifestyle and self-love high on her priority, it seems Rebel is thriving.
