Hollywood star Pedro Pascal goes to Margate exhibition he inspired only to find it closed

The owners of a small art gallery say they are “mortified” after Hollywood star Pedro Pascal turned up to view an exhibition inspired by him only to find it was closed.

The star of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us visited Margate on Sunday with fellow actor - and art devotee - Russell Tovey to see ADHD Hyperfixation & Why It Looks Like I Love Pedro Pascal at the Rhodes Art Gallery.

The exhibition includes paintings and sketches by artist Heidi Gentle Burrell, but the closest Pascal got was posing for a selfie outside.

Jessica Rhodes Robb, who runs the gallery with partner Gavin Blake, told the BBC: “Heidi’s show is absolutely phenomenal and we’re so proud that it’s received the publicity it deserves.

“We’re mortified that they couldn’t get in and our Sunday opening policy is most definitely under review.

“We’ll be sending Pedro a gift from the show by way of apology.”

The exhibition runs to September 1.
