Hollywood star Danny DeVito has revealed he cannot nod off unless he is wearing his One Direction PJs.
The actor, 77, said he loves the outfit so much he still wears it eight years after donning it for a video shoot with the boyband.
Danny added he is so attached to the black PJs he even mends them.
The star teamed up with the band – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne – in 2014 to make the video for Steal My Girl.
Danny plays a pyjama-wearing film director who drives a convertible car to their trailer and gives them acting tips. Danny joins the performance along with a chimp.
He said he took the PJs and has worn them ever since. Danny added: “I said I need to be comfortable. I said how about if I wear pyjamas. And I did. I always steal my costumes.”
His daughter Lucy said: “The other day he said I need a sewing kit. I said, ‘Why?’ I got to fix my Steal My Girl pyjamas.”
Danny laughed: “They live on.”
He has been hoping to make a sequel to Twins for a decade but the death of its director Ivan Reitman in February has hit the plan to make Triplets, which was to star Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tracy Morgan.
