Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) is once again suspicious of newcomer Jeremy Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) in tonight’s Hollyoaks on at 7pm (See our TV Guide for full listings).
Maxine has been terrified of Jeremy ever since he arrived in the village as he is a constant reminder of his identical twin brother, Patrick Blake, Maxine’s ex who cruelly abused her.
In yesterday’s episode Maxine was alarmed when Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) revealed that she had found one of Jeremy’s shirts covered in blood.
And Maxine had further cause for concern when Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) went missing after having a row with Jeremy and his phone was later found in Jeremy’s shed.
Tonight Maxine confronts landscape gardener Jeremy who is completely baffled by her theories about him.
He calmly explains that the blood on his shirt was caused when he cut himself gardening. Is he telling the truth?
And what HAS happened to Scott?
Back at Jeremy’s shed, Martha (Sherrie Hewson) is lying in wait!
Meanwhile, Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) who has made many enemies in the village, has been hospitalised and is now breathing through a ventilator.
Doctor Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) tells Freddie’s wife Grace Black (Tamara Wall) that he has sustained serious injuries.
Who has done this to Freddie?
Plus, the McQueens throw a surprise party for Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) who has given birth to her twins. However, the family is appalled when she turns up at home with Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) in tow.
It was drug dealer Warren’s dodgy stash of drugs which were responsible for killing Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham) recently.
The horrified McQueen clan tell him that they will never forgive him for Hunter’s death and Mercedes is suddenly left feeling she has done the wrong thing in sticking by Warren, the father of one of her twins.
Meanwhile, Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) signs up teenagers Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) and Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) to work for her, proving their business rival, Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) wrong.
And tempers fray as anxious parents Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) and husband Tony (Nick Pickard) continue to clash over their transgender child, Ro (Ava Webster) and Ro’s desire to transition to a boy.
