Holly Willoughby has thanked Dermot O’Leary for sending her a care package after she missed This Morning for a fifth day due to illness.
The presenter is currently suffering from shingles so has been unable to come into the studio.
Shingles is a rash caused by the chickenpox virus and can be contagious to people who have never had chickenpox before.
NHS guidelines state it can take up to four weeks for rashes to heal, meaning Holly could be off for more than a week.
Sharing a photo to her Instagram stories, the 42-year-old revealed pal and co-host Dermot had sent her something to make her feel a bit better while she recovers at home.
She posted a snap of a delicious looking salt beef sandwich with gherkins and some healing chicken soup from Reubens Deli & Restaurant in London.
“Thank you @dermotoleary for the sweetest delivery of chicken soup and salt beef... just what I needed,” Holly wrote.
Giving her 8.2 million followers a health update, she added: “Feeling so much better. Thank you for all your well wishes.”
Rochelle Humes was brought in at the last minute to cover for Holly as she was forced to call in sick.
She was joined by regular host Phillip Schofield, who returned to the This Morning sofa this week following a leave of absence.
Phil disowned his former schoolteacher brother Timothy after he was jailed for abusing a teenage boy last month.
Revealing the reason Holly wasn’t on the show, Rochelle told viewers: “Holly isn’t well today so sadly off, and perhaps a few more days with a bout of shingles. Ouch.
“If you’re watching Holly then get well soon, the whole team sends their love.”
In a post over on Instagram, Holly confirmed this was the case and told fans: “Hi.. Just to let you know I may be away for the rest of the week as I have shingles... I’ll be back as soon as I’m better. Huge love.”
Phillip and Holly usually present This Morning from Monday to Thursday every week, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary taking over duties on Fridays.
However, some fans are convinced the fact Holly missed Phil's return to This Morning is a telltale sign there’s something going on behind the scenes.
Rumours of discord have been rife on the show ever since Holly was reportedly left “devastated” over last year’s Queuegate scandal.
Holly and Phillip faced a public backlash after they were accused of skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state at Westminster Abbey after her death in September.
TV favourite Holly is said to have been “frustrated” by the way bosses handled the situation – and upset by their decision that she should make the pair’s TV apology on her own.
As well as presenting This Morning, Holly hosts Dancing on Ice with Phillip. She also has a seven-figure deal with Marks & Spencer and her own lifestyle brand called Wylde Moon.
