Holly Willoughby tells ITV This Morning caller she's 'doomed' after outburst during advice segment

Holly Willoughby didn't hold back as she told a caller who phoned into This Morning for advice that she was 'doomed'. The presenter was back fronting the ITV daytime show alongside Phillip Schofield on Wednesday (March 22) when they were joined by Vanessa Feltz.

The broadcaster and agony aunt was on hand to answer viewers’ calls about love. It comes just weeks after Vanessa revealed her own heartbreak after ending her relationship of 16 years with fiance Ben Ofoedu.

One viewer, known only as 'Shannon', called in to speak to Vanessa about her own dilemma. She explained how she had been seeing her best friend's ex and wanted to know whether she should tell her pal or end things with her new man. “I’ve been sort of seeing and sleeping with a boy who was with one of my best friends for about three and a half years," the caller said.

"And um the relationship’s getting quite serious and she doesn’t know I’ve not told her yet. And I’m not sure whether to tell her and sabotage that friendship or to sack it off with him." Vanessa shared how she thought that ‘Shannon’ was doing anything wrong and that she should break the news to her friend.

"I reckon you fess up and I definitely don’t think you split up with him if you actually like him and he likes you and it’s going well and you said it could be serious," the TalkTV star said. I don’t think that there’s any girl code you could be breaking here whatsoever."

But the hosts and Vanessa were left open-mouthed by what was said next as 'Shannon' replied to the advice: "To be honest she’s a bit of a cow so I don’t think she’s going to take it very well if I do tell her." As the trio burst out laughing, a shocked Holly, 42, then added: "It's taken a turn of direction suddenly."

Phillip, 60, then added: "We really were not expecting that! So what is the major issue then in that case? How good a friend?" To which the caller replied: "Oh she is a good friend, she’s just, um, quite the jealous type."

It is then that Holly quipped: “Oh god! You’re doomed! Good luck!" But Vanessa was quick to share her relief due to them being live on daytime TV as she said: "At least it was only that word, blimey, it could’ve been anything!"
