Holly Willoughby shuts down Harry reconciliation hope as Phil says princes 'have issues'

Holly Willoughby was quick to shut down discussions of Prince Harry and Prince William's reconciliation on This Morning.

During Monday morning's special instalment of the ITV show, Holly and Philip Schofield were paying their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who died aged 96 last week. Conversations soon turned to Prince Harry's recent statement, where he paid tribute to his 'granny' and shared special memories with her, including the first time the Queen met Meghan Markle and their kids, writes the Mirror.

They also discussed how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the new Prince and Princess of Wales during their walk throughout Windsor to greet well wishers. Speaking on the ITV morning show, Vanessa Feltz said: "I'm so hopeful this will be - I really am and I'm not just saying this because I believe in happy ever after - I'm so hopeful this will be the beginning of a great reunion.

"Because only these two brothers will understand how they feel and understand how much they're remembering their loss of their mother at this point."

Phil then went on to add: "Maybe this isn't the week for it and what we can do now is to look forward with some sort of hopefulness. We know there are definitely issues between brothers. It's not that easy. Reconciliations are difficult."

However, Holly quickly shut the conversation down and switched topics. "It's not what's important right now," she said, before talk turned to other things to do with the Royal Family including King Charles III as he made his way to Edinburgh Airport with Queen Consort, Camilla.

It comes after Holly and Vanessa clashed over "unfair" criticism the latter made about Meghan at a recent charity event. "And her £4,000 or £5,000 Valentino outfit to be just a humble girl from Suits. I mean she's not doing anything wrong but there's something sort of grating about it," Vanessa said.

Phillip then added: "I just get the feeling that no matter what she does she will get criticised."

Before Holly jumped in to say: "I don't like it, I don't like it," whilst Vanessa added of Meghan: "Well talk about yourself less, and other people more. I think that's just a simple mantra, can't go wrong with that one."
