Holly Willoughby shares 'most touching moment' of Glastonbury Festival as she really let her hair down

Glastonbury Festival is renowned for being an event that changes you. Whether revellers experience a spiritual moment in the healing fields or hit utopia dancing to their favourite bands at the pyramid stage, the huge festival supplies seemingly endless possibilities.

And even A-list guests can enjoy the transformative offerings. Since attending Worthy Farm, Holly Willoughby has shared her 'most touching moment' after really letting her hair down over the weekend.

She told fans that watching Lewis Capaldi lose his voice on stage on Saturday evening during his performance on the Pyramid stage was very moving. The Glasgow-born singer, 26, had previously cancelled three weeks of shows leading up to the festival to rest after a full-on few months. He warned the crowd he was losing his voice ahead of launching into his chart-topping single 'Someone You Loved'.

After the concert, he said taking a break this year has been the most "difficult decision" of his life but that he needed to prioritise his mental and physical health. Capaldi has Tourette's Syndrome which can cause nervous tics displayed by physical movements or vocalisations.

Writing in her newsletter, Holly said: "So sorry I’m a day late with this newsletter, but I went to Glastonbury for the first time in years and made the most of every minute. What a weekend! Did you go? Or did you see any of it from the comfort of your own sofa to avoid having to share a loo with 200,000 other people?!"

"Just what is it about going to a festival that makes you feel about 20 again? There’s something so freeing about it…as if you’ve entered a world that encourages you to leave life’s worries and responsibilities at the gate and let your hair down.

"I spent three amazing days with incredible friends, listening to some of the best musicians on the planet – all whilst dancing like lunatics. Music brings people together like nothing else. I cannot begin to imagine how it must feel as an artist looking out at a Glastonbury crowd to see the faces of each and every person singing your lyrics. Never was this more poignant than the crowd singing back to Lewis Capaldi on Saturday, which was probably one of the most touching moments of the weekend."

Holly attended the five-day music alongside her husband Dan Baldwin.
