Holly Willoughby shares 'cloud hanging over' family in heartfelt open letter to fans

Holly Willoughby has shared the "cloud hanging over" her family in a heartfelt open letter to her fans.

The This Morning star, 42, opened up about her family life over the past week as she admitted she has "very frustrated kids".

It comes after the presenter returned to screens on June 5 for the first time since co-star Phillip Schofield's depature.

The veteran broadcaster quit the show and ITV after he admitted to having an affair with a younger colleague.

Upon her return to This Morning, Holly came under fire since her infamous 'Are you ok?" speech with some branding her response disingenuous.

Yet the Wylde Moon guru has appeared to put it behind her as she wrote to her subscribers to share her week.

In her latest newsletter, Holly wrote: "Hi, how’re you feeling today? How dreamy was the weather this weekend? Finally, here in the UK we’ve got the weather we’ve been craving and you get the sense that everyone feels better for it.

"Summer is literally right around the corner, bringing back picnics in the park, daytrips to the beach, al fresco evenings spent with loved ones…and not forgetting the annual paddling pool scrub down and patch up!"

She added: "The only downside to this lovely weather for us as a family right now is the revision cloud hanging over us.

"If you’re anything like me, you’ve got some very frustrated kids kicking about the house, when all they want is to be outside kicking a ball! I can remember that battle for self-discipline like it was yesterday.

"How are yours getting on? I was thinking, whilst watching Harry and Belle working so hard, that I wish they could get some recognition for their dedication outside of the school timetable, as well as an actual exam grade."

Holly continued: "At such a young age, this really is the first time they have had to take responsibility for their learning and independently put a structure in place to prepare for the exams ahead.

"So, without knowing what results are to come, and just because they’ve tried or are trying their best, I’m going to reward both of mine an ‘A’!

"This week we find ourselves under the auspices of the Waning Crescent Moon, a period of rest and regeneration ahead of Sunday’s New Moon.

"The New Moon brings a sense of endless possibility and fresh starts, so take this week to prepare and think about everything you are grateful for and anything you would like to bring into your life.

"Embrace all that fresh lunar energy by taking some time for yourself whenever you can."

The TV star is a proud mother of three; 13-year-old son Harry, 11-year-old daughter Belle, and eight-year-old son Chester who she shares with her producer husband Daniel Baldwin, 48.

She rarely shares any pics of her children on social media but offered a glimpse into her family life earlier this year as they paid a visit to her work.

Taking to Instagram , Holly shared a photo that showed the back of her three children who were sat on the famous TV sofa.

Holly faced her children with a beaming smile.

She shared the snap alongside a caption reading: “Favourite interview of the week… the kids popped into @thismorning as they have broken up from school, Soooo lovely having them there.”

She continued: “They have grown so much since the last time they were here…"
