Holly Willoughby was quick to justify her antics on a night out after Mel C made a comment during her appearance on This Morning. The Spice Girl, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, was on the ITV daytime show to chat about her new book.
Mel was a ray of sunshine as she donned a vibrant yellow suit to appear on the famous sofa and chat to Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield. The hosts were quick to delve into their interview after getting a taste of some of the stories the singer has told in her autobiography.
The book will follow the journey from her bedroom in north-west England to global recognition with the group. Mel, who is the last member of the group to publish her autobiography, shot to fame in 1994 alongside Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell before becoming internationally known for their message of Girl Power.

Melanie C’s book will detail the incredible highs of becoming one of the world’s most recognisable pop stars, including playing at Wembley, conquering the Brit awards and closing the Olympics. She also share the lows of struggling with her body image and mental health, and the difficulties of finding her own identity in a world where everyone knows her name.
But there was one of the more cheeky anecdotes that Holly, 41, and Phillip, 60, wanted to hear about "There were times when, thank goodness, you did go way of the rails in a cab on the way to dinner with Simon Fuller," Phillip said to Mel.
She then replied: "We signed our record deal with Virgin Records and he took us to, I don't think it's open anymore, he took us to Kensington Place. [It[ was a wonderful restaurant and all this is quite new to us. We went in a cab and we'd had a few champagnes to celebrate the new deal and somebody's knickers ended up out of the taxi which is very Spice Girls."
As Holly giggled, Phillip revealed how it was Vicotria Beckahm's underwear to which Mel said: "Victoria, I'm sorry for telling that story." As they laughed, Phillip asked for an explanation to which Mel said; "Holly, we've had nights out..."
As Phillip's eyes widened, Holly quickly said: "My knickers have never, ever done that out of any cab," to which Phillip said: "We've had plenty of nights out but that's never happened." He then joked: "My pants have," as Holly quipped: "There's still time."
As Mel tried to explain, Holly said they were 'young girls' and Mel added; "Victoria was always beautifully pt together and I think it was just us going, 'Come on, let your hair down!"
