Holly Willoughby is said to not have replied to Phillip Schofield 's apology text message after he admitted to having an affair.
The former This Morning co-stars haven't spoken to each other since the news broke, according to Phil.
Phillip, 61, has said the pair have broken all contact with each other following his departure from the show after two decades, and says his brother's imprisonment made her distance herself from him.
The presenter announced he had an affair with a young runner on the show in a bombshell statement last month.
He says Holly didn't know about the romance but was one of the first people he text when the news broke.
“She didn’t reply and I understand why she didn’t reply, as well," he told The Sun.
He also explained he had no "feud" with Holly, following rumours last month.
Phillip added: “The last time we had a conversation was when I texted Holly and said, ‘Don’t reply,’ — this was after the statement last week (defending This Morning from accusations of toxicity) — ‘Don’t reply, you’re probably not allowed to. But I am deeply, deeply sorry that I lied to you’.
“And I am. It was the one secret in our sanctuary that was never mentioned.”
The pair worked together on the ITV show for 14 years and became close friends on and off set.
Phil has now said he has lost his "best friend" and "let her down".
It was previously reported there was a rumoured feud between the co-stars after they were said to have been "barely speaking" off camera.
Last month Phillip's brother Timothy Schofield was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually abusing a teenage boy.
Phillip presented his final episode of This Morning on Thursday, May 18, with ITV confirming his immediate exit just two days later.
In a shocking turn-of-events, Phillip subsequently parted ways from ITV and his management company after admitting to having an affair with a younger colleague.
He has since claimed he did "not groom" the younger colleague at This Morning that he had an affair with.
The former ITV presenter has spoke out in a bid to address rumours and says he "didn't lie to protect my career" but to protect the man he had an affair with.
