Holly Willoughby goes makeup-free for candid online chat with fans on 'bane of her life'

Holly Willoughby has opened up to her fans about an ongoing skincare issue she calls the "bane of her life".

The host of This Morning, 42, got vulnerable about her battles with her skin in a candid makeup free video to her 8.2M Instagram followers on Wednesday (26 April).

Speaking direct to the camera, mum of three Holly pointed out the things she dislikes about her skin including a pink pigmentation mark on her cheek as she said: "Look can you see this here? This is my pigmentation, which is the bane of my life."

The star also stressed the importance of a good skincare routine, including the use of SPF and Vitamin C as preventative measures for ageing and skin damage.

The star continued to discuss her makeup free complexion with fans, with her short blonde hair clipped back as she showed off her barefaced beauty.

Speaking to fans, she shared: "Now, if it was daytime, which it is not, I would now put on my SPF on but I'm not going to do that. If any of you are young, which I'm sure you are, please remember to put your SPF on.

"Because look, can you see this here? This is my pigmentation, which is the bane of my life."

Holly then pointed to an area on her cheek, which she highlighted as bothering her.

She continued: "I'm permanently looking, vitamin C is really good for pigmentation, they've got this oxygen face mask thing and it's really, really good.

"I'm sort of starting that but your first defence against pigmentation is not letting it happen in first place."

The video aired in collaboration with Beauty Pie for her new beauty picks called HOLLY-DAY EDIT, with Holly giving her advice on skincare and how she makes sure she's camera ready now she's back filming This Morning.

The ITV presenter returned to the ITV daytime show after taking extra time off after the Easter holidays to recover from shingles.

Reuniting with her co-star and best pal Phillip Schofield, she told viewers that her bout of ill health had been a "wobbly" time.

At the beginning of Monday's show, she told ITV viewers: "It is nice to be back. Good to see you... I had a wobbly week and a half as anyone who has had it would know."
