This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby has confirmed she's set to make a quick exit during her third appearance on This Morning this week. The ITV Daytime show star confirmed on social media that she will leave Phillip Schofield earlier on during the programme.
This comes amid rumours of a rift between the 42-year-old and her co-host Phillip. The duo have fronted the show together for 14 years, but are now said to be 'barely speaking' behind the scenes. Despite the claims, the pair put on a united front and were seen together for the first time on the popular programme on Monday (May 15) since the latter issued a statement on their friendship, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Phillip told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her." Phillip added: "The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us."

On Tuesday afternoon (May 16), Holly was the perfect 'lady in red' as she made a public appearance amid her ongoing drama at This Morning. The TV beauty beamed as she strutted down the red carpet and posed for the waiting cameras following her latest appearance on the show.
After appearing alongside Phillip Schofield live on the famous sofa in the London-based studio, mum-of-three Holly dashed across London to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in the capital's West End. Holly looked stunning as she posed after she slipped into a red gown that wrapped perfectly around her curves before finishing at her ankles as well as boasting an exaggerated sleeve.
She paired the look with a pair of black heels and kept her blonde locks styled into soft waves while attending the Prince's Trust Awards alongside her fellow TV stars including Rylan Clark, Ferne Cotton, Oti Mabuse, Frankie Bridge and Kate Garraway. England football manager Gareth Southgate was also spotted in attendance as well as Amal Clooney and George Clooney, Stephen Graham and Eurovision hero Sam Ryder.
But Holly's royal adventures aren't set to stop with the Prince's Trust Awards. Before This Morning aired on Wednesday (May 17), Holly stuck with her usual tradition of sharing a posing snap to Instagram, showing off her outfit before appearing live on-screen from the London-based studio. "Morning Wednesday… see you on @thismorning at 10am," she started the caption of her post to her millions of followers.
The mum-of-three looked gorgeous in a pale yellow gown which she twirled around as she posed for the camera. "The lovely @suranne_jones joins us today," she continued before confirming her early exit: "I’m scootleing (is that a word) off early today to head to the Palace for the @princestrust … got my bested dress on! #hwstyle dress by @beulahlondon."
