Holly Willoughby climbs the ITV This Morning set in confusing scenes amid 'disgusting' complaints

There were confusing scenes on the latest installment of This Morning when Holly Willoughby - quite literally - climbed the set. The presenter and her co-host Phillip Schofield were back fronting the ITV daytime programme on Thursday (February 2).

And their last appearance on the show for this week was another jam-packed one with celebrity guests as well as cooking, health advice and fashion.

Holly, 41, and Phillip were joined throughout the two-and-a-half hour programme by Happy Valley star Con O'Neill who chatted about the finale of the BBC One drama and his role in ITVX's new three-part series, Nolly, as well as Emmerdale actress Emma Atkinson who was dicussing her latest storyline as Charity Dingle and Ashley and Jordan Banjo, who have stepped away from the dance studio to pen a children's book together.

But things may have been going too smoothly for the pair of live presenters as there was a sudden burst of chaos when Holly leapt up onto a column in the This Morning studio after she and co-host Phillip struggled to find the right places to deliver their links following an ad break.

As the show's jingle played, viewers witness the duo laughing and darting about in a birdseye view of the London-based studio. "They said got to 'side up'. I don't know... where's side up?" Holly cried as she bounced back and forth before wrapping her leg around a column before hopping down and joining Phil again.

"We went up there by the pillar but that was the wrong place. We caught you in shot," Phillip added as he gestured off camera after one of the crew found themselves accidentally live on national TV. "Where is the mark?" he asked before Holly confirmed they were now in the right shot.

"We were afloat without an anchor then," the mum-of-three added as Phillip remarked: "I tell you... a presenter without a mark is lost!" Holly then joked: "We'll end up in Loose Women, we'll be floating about."

The pair then moved on with the show and there was one partiuclar segment that sparked complaints from This Morning viewers. Real estate agent to the stars, Leonard Steinberg, was on the ITV show talking to hosts Holly and Phillip about how much A-listers have sold their luxurious homes for.

Appearing live via video link, he gave viewers an insight into the homes of the rich and famous. But it came shortly after a conversation during 'This Morning's View', which sees the hosts and two guests chatting through the latest headlines about debt collectors who had allegedly broken into British Gas customers’ homes to install prepay gas meters that left vulnerable people at risk of having their heating cut off.

@LukeelkinsTV complained: "Slightly disgusting to see #ThisMorning showing million/billion-pound houses when so many can’t afford to eat and have gas and electricity #CostOfLivingCrises." @HEGATTY68 complained: "At the beginning of the show you were showing bailiffs invading peoples homes because they can’t afford to pay they’re bills. Now showing over privileged celebs homes… @thismorning read the room #ThisMorning."

@TraylorHolmes posted: "'Here’s some more celebrities homes for sale that none of you can afford' #ThisMorning." @gorgerymil8 added: "I'm not really sure why I need to see hollywood homes when I'm struggling to keep my own small roof over my head! #ThisMorning."
