Holly Willoughby has broken her silence after Phillip Schofield's series of bombshell interviews.
It comes after Phillip opened up about feeling 'broken' in the aftermath of his affair scandal - days after admitting to a romance with a younger, male ITV colleague.
After Phil discussed his current state and how he still hasn't heard from Holly, his former co-star and best friend took to Instagram with an awkwardly timed post.
Holly, 42, posted to her lifestyle blog Wylde Moon's Instagram page sharing a topless selfie of her self fresh out the shower.
The presenter was sporting wet hair and clutching a towel as she went make-up free for the candid snap.
Avoiding the furore surrounding Phil, Holly posted about summer hair-care.
She is currently in Portugal with her family after escaping the drama back home.
Holly penned: “We all love the sunshine, but it can do some sneaky damage to our hair if we don't protect it.
“Holly's hair-guru @cilerpeksah_hairstylist is here with her professional tips to make sure your hair stays safe all summer long. Tap the link in bio to see how to protect yours from the sun, the sea, and the swimming pools.”
During his latest interview with the BBC, Phillip Schofield also spoke about Holly and the sad demise of their friendship.
Before his affair came to light, rumours had swirled that the pair were barely speaking.
Last week Holly said she was 'hurt' Phil had 'lied' to her when he did admit the truth.
Asked if anyone on the This Morning knew about his relationship with a younger, male colleague, Schofield said to the BBC: “To my knowledge, I mean, somebody has to know something for there to be a rumour later on. I didn’t believe that anybody knew.”
He said he had not told Willoughby of the relationship, saying: “No, God, no. That’s a bigger question. Because we have, our make-up room was like a sanctuary, has always been a sanctuary.
“So you tell everything in that room. Holly knows everything about me. I know everything about Holly, Holly did not know. Nobody knew.”
The pair had presented This Morning together since 2009, with Willoughby due to return to the show on Monday after the half-term break, having taken an early holiday after news of Schofield’s departure emerged.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have been among the presenters hosting the programme in recent weeks.
Schofield went on to say that his “greatest apology” over the fallout from the affair was to his former lover and that he would “die sorry” for what he had done.
In a sign he believes his television career is over, he told Rajan: “I see nothing ahead of me but blackness and sadness and regret and remorse and guilt.”
He said: “I’m not in television any more, I don’t know what I am even remotely – if I get through this.
“I don’t know even remotely how I move forward – what am I going to do with my days?”
He went on: “I did something very wrong and then I lied about it consistently and you can’t live with that. How do you live with that?”
