Multiple roads were closed in Holloway on Monday morning after a water main burst, causing flooding up to 4-foot high in places.

London Fire Brigade said they were called at 7.01am to the corner of Hornsey Road and Tollington Road after a 36-inch water main burst.

Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were at the scene.

The Tollington Arms pub posted a video showing cars driving through deep water outside the premises.

A member of staff said: “It happened about 7am and within minutes there was flooding like a tsunami.
