A dad has raised big concerns over security after finding a knife in his hand luggage having flown through Manchester Airport. The six inch blade was in a laptop bag amongst chargers and made it through the scanners, with a 'thorough investigation' now taking place at the airport.
The man, who lives in Cheshire, travelled to Crete from Terminal 2 on July 12, taking his kids through the fast track security. The family run their own business so had been packing up boxes at their office before travelling away on the holiday.
This involved using a knife to cut tape on the boxes, which he then took home in his laptop bag to do more at home. But the man, who does not want to be named, completely forgot it was in the bag.
