A charming Cotswolds cottage in a chocolate-box village has been crowned best property in the latest episode of Holiday Homes in the Sun.
In Monday’s episode of the Channel 5 show hosts Amanda Lamb, JB Gill and Sam Pinkham explored the quaint north Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden.
Sam’s pick, the honey-hued Boundary Cottage, scored a massive 27 out of 30 to be crowned favourite.
Boundary Cottage is nestled just two and a half hour's drive from London and an hour and 20 minutes from Birmingham in what its owner describe as "an oasis of indulgence."
"Stroll hand-in-hand along crooked streets of golden stone, enjoy laughter with friends in front of the cosy log burner or simply soak up the sun in the private garden," they advise.
The inside of the TV award winning cottage has a homely feel and is set over three storeys.
The master bedroom has retained traditional features such as the exposed beams, which a double bed with cotton linen provides a place for weary holidaymakers to rest their heads.
Meon Hill, Stratford Upon Avon and Coventry can all be seen in the distance through the bedroom window.
The second twin bedroom has a wall made from Cotswold stone and two comfortable single beds.
As well as a spacious kitchen and bathroom, the living room has a wood burning stove set in a stone fireplace.
"Cosy on down in the winter evenings on the snug sofas and stylish arm chairs," the owners suggest.
"Plan your next day’s adventure with a glass of wine or simply play some good old fashioned board games."
Outside the cottage and over the quiet road is a private garden where guests are encouraged to let their dog loose.
"Simply cross the quiet road to the large sloped garden with a gorgeous green lawn and pretty pergola," a description of the cottage reads.
"Make the most of the spring & summer evenings and cook up some delicious meals on the charcoal BBQ.
"Reminisce of old times and plan future adventures around the outdoor table & seating area. Or, wallow in nature whilst reading your favourite book."
The new Channel 5 travel show, Holidays Homes in the Sun, hosted by follows the trio as they compete against each other to discover the best holiday homes at home and abroad.
Just one of the ‘wow factors’ nudging Boundary Cottage into the top spot were the incredible views.
Host Amanda said: “That view is just up there in the top 20 that I’ve ever seen... imagine here in autumn what that valley would look like.”
The property was also praised for being great value for money, with rates starting from just £655 a week, which works out at just £165pp between four people.
