Family forced to pay £10,000 to bring Brit home after holiday horror accident

The family of a young man who needed part of his skull removed after a horror accident is urging travellers to take out full insurance, after having to borrow £10,000 from the bank for a repatriation flight.

Andre Franco, 22, cracked his head open and suffered major swelling to his brain after falling from a buggy during a lads’ holiday in Cyprus.

The Londoner had rented a buggy with three other friends in the popular tourist town of Nicosia and was a passenger in the vehicle when it crashed in the early hours of Saturday, May 21.
