Festivities were in full swing as Holi celebrations took place in north Dublin over the weekend.
Members of the Indian community came together to celebrate the Hindu spring festival hosted by Indian Ladies in Ireland in Raheny on Sunday. Excitement was in the air as this was the first-ever Holi celebration to take place in north Dublin.
Guests were treated to a beautiful classical dance performance by Bharatnatyam dancer Ruth Prithika. Also joining the celebrations was Fine Gael's Richard Bruton TD who regaled guests with the memories of his first visit to India in 1977.

The dance floor was filled with happy smiles as revellers played with coloured powder while the DJ played all the top Bollywood numbers. Partygoers tucked into delicious Indian food which was on offer at the celebrations.
Female entrepreneurs also had the opportunity to promote their businesses as part of International Women's Day. Indian Ladies in Ireland founder Supriya Singh said: "Indian Ladies in Ireland group has been an active group promoting Indian culture and talent in Ireland for the past 6 years.
"We organised the first ever Holi celebrations in north Dublin to keep the spirit of India alive in Ireland and to promote women entrepreneurs from the group."
