One of the things most Harry Potter fans want to know is what house they would be sorted in if they went to Hogwarts. Between Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, everyone has their favorites. However, it’s not all up to you, as the infamous Sorting Hat will decide your fate. If you know the differences between the houses, you may be able to sway its decision.
Here are the differences between the houses in Hogwarts Legacy and how you can influence the Sorting Hat.
Hogwarts Legacy: How to choose your house
As part of the sorting process, the sorting hat will ask you a number of questions in order to decide which house best suits you. If you want the authentic experience, then answer these questions truthfully and let the hat decide your faith. However, if you’re certain of which house you would like, you can answer questions to fit the house.
Here are the types of answers you should give to get your preferred house:
- Gryffindor – Adventurous, headstrong
- Ravenclaw – Book-smart, intelligent
- Hufflepuff – Friendship, meeting people
- Slytherin – Cunning, mischievous
If your answers don’t match the house of your choice, don’t worry. You can disagree with the Sorting Hat’s decision, and choose the house yourself. This decision is final so make sure you choose the right one.
Hogwarts Legacy: What are the differences between houses?
Your choice of house doesn’t have a huge impact on the story, as you interact and make friends with students from all the houses in the school. They make different comments about your house, but whichever house you choose, you will still be able to form a friendship with them.
The main difference is your common room. These are extremely detailed and fun to explore, and each one has a different house chest. These require all the Daedalian Keys in order to unlock them. The other thing that this affects is your clothes. Your clothing choices are based on your house, with different variations of robes to match.
Essentially most of the changes are mostly cosmetic. There are no house-locked quests, so feel free to choose the house that is right for you.
