There are a huge number of treasure hunt quests in Hogwarts Legacy, including a few bell puzzles. One of these is midway through the game in a mission called Solved by the Bell. This can be found on the southeast area of the map. You start the quest by finding a piece of parchment with the map location and a drawing of some bells.
Here’s how to find and complete the Solved by the Bell quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy: Solved by the Bell map location
In the southeast part of the map, you will see a peninsula. You can find the note near Clagmar Castle which you can travel to by Floo Flame. If you haven’t opened this fast travel point you can find it on the Clagmar Coast.
When you arrive here you will need to defeat all of the enemies in the area. Once the area is clear you can cast Revelio to fly around the area with your broom. This is the easiest way to look around the compound and find the set of bells. Once you can see them land on the platform opposite.
Hogwarts Legacy: Solved by the Bell solution
Each bell corresponds to a musical note, and the puzzle wants you to play the song at the bottom of the sheet. For our guide, we have numbered the bells from one to nine. The highest bell is number one and the lowest one is number nine.
Using your regular magic, aim and hit each bell in order to complete this puzzle. Don’t worry about spending time aiming. It’s more important to hit the right bell, or you’ll have to start over again.
Here’s the sequence of notes you need to hit in Hogwarts Legacy Solved by the Bell puzzle:
Bell 8 > Bell 5 > Bell 3 > Bell 4 > Bell 5 > Bell 1 > Bell 2 > Bell 4
You will know that you have done it correctly as the bells will play the Harry Potter theme. A chest will then appear next to you. Open it to find the Treasure Seeker’s Longcoat. Remember, that even if the coat doesn’t have the stats you are looking for, you can still sell it and use it just to change your look.
