A number of the things you need to do in Hogwarts Legacy are only available during the day or the night. For example, the vast majority of the lessons take place during the day, while you can take Astronomy only at night. Aside from this, collectible items such as the Demiguise moons can only be grabbed at night. As such, being able to control whether it’s day or night can be really valuable.
Luckily, there is a way to switch between day and night, and you can do it wherever you are. This means that if you find a tricky Demiguise moon in the daytime, you can easily change it to nighttime and collect it.
Here’s everything you need to know about changing the time of day in Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy: How to switch the time of day
It’s really easy to change the time of day, and you will need to do it multiple times during your playthrough. Luckily, it’s not locked to a location like other games where you go to your room to move time forward.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Bring up the map.
- Press R3 (click in the right stick).
- Progress the time of day.
There’s no way to progress to a specific time of day, but this method will help you change between day and night. This has a large number of advantages including opening up shops, and starting lessons. It won’t affect growing plants though, as this is based on the real time. As you can harvest every 15 minutes though, you don’t have to wait too long.
