BHUBANESWAR: Lee Nam Yong will become one of the oldest to play in a hockey World Cup when South Korea face off against defending champions Belgium at Kalinga Stadium here on Saturday. The skipper will turn 40 this year and is hoping to lead a successful campaign for the Asians in his fourth appearance in the Cup.
Playing since 2002, he has played in three consecutive World Cups before this edition in 2006, 2010, and 2014. He has also featured in the 2012 London Olympics and the 2008 Games held in Beijing. Overall, he has played 295 matches scoring 45 goals, and will likely complete his 300th game during the event.
