A landlord was "trapped" by the rubbish left in a room he let out to someone with a hoarding disorder.
The landlord, who owns a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) in Wallasey, said the mess he discovered in one of his rooms after the tenant moved out was "beyond belief". In a video shared with the ECHO, the landlord, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed the extent of the mess left behind.
The film shows mountains of rubbish and other collected items can be seen, along with old Pot Noodles, a pile of cigarette stubs and milk bottles filled with brown liquid.

The landlord said that in the video they had entered through the window, but become stuck by the mountains of rubbish which had also obstructed the door to enter the bedroom.
He told the ECHO : "We had no alternative in the end but to try and get in through one of the windows. I managed to get a ladder long enough. I'd hurt myself getting up the ladder but as I got to the top and saw the sight before me I quickly forgot about the pain. It's beyond belief. It's unbelievable."
He said that once inside he became "trapped" and that he couldn't get out through the door or window as it was "too dangerous."
He said: "To empty it we had to use complete throwaway overalls with masks and breathing apparatus."
