SHIMLA: Rubbishing the claims of deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia about BJP changing chief minister Jai Ram Thakur with Union minister Anurag Thakur, party national president J P Nadda has made it clear that neither the chief minister nor the ministers of his cabinet would be changed.
He said that assembly elections in the state will be fought under the leadership of Jai Ram Thakur.
"Under the leadership of Jai Ram Thakur, the government is functioning well and in future too he will lead the government," Nadda said while addressing media persons in Shimla on Sunday.
He said that as far as the organization is concerned, the coordination between the government and the organization is good and massive mass contact campaign is going on in the state till April 30 during which efforts will be made to know whether the government schemes are reaching the people properly or not.
He, however, has not ruled out the possibility of change of tickets of some sitting MLAs in the coming assembly election. He said that normally 10-15% tickets are changed in the every election. He said that tickets have been changed in Uttar Pradesh and Manipur assembly elections and in Himachal Pradesh too it can be done.
He said that for BJP, power is the medium to serve the people, it is not the goal. He said that work of solving unresolved issues of state had been done by the BJP governments. He said that the status of special category state status of Himachal Pradesh was restored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also the 90:10 ration for Central State share for projects was also restored during the tenure of the BJP.
He said that special industrial package for Himachal Pradesh was also provided by then Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Kol Dam Project was also started during his tenure which was dedicated to the state by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that the Luhri Project could also kick start only after the BJP came to power at Centre. He said that Atal Tunnel was also a gift of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of the state. He said that with the construction of this tunnel, dream of Atal Bihari Vajpayee was fulfilled.
The BJP national president said that on the completion of four-year tenure of the state government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid foundation stones and dedicated projects worth Rs 11,500 crore to the people of the state. He said that projects such as IIM and AIIMS were sanctioned to the state during the tenure of the BJP.
