Himachal Pradesh CM inaugurates Vehicle Location Tracking Device, Emergency Panic Button System and Command Control Centre

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh has become first in country to launch Vehicle location Tracking Device, Emergency Panic Button System and Command Control Centre of the State Transport Department for the public.

After inaugurating the facility, chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the state has pioneered in implementation of this project, which was a matter of pride. He said this Vehicle Location Tracking Device with Emergency Panic Button System and Command Control Centre has been connected with Emergency Response Support System 112 and when the panic button is pressed, a signal would be received through satellite to 112 and the person in distress would be connected and police would be alerted.
