MANALI: Closed for over a month following heavy snowfall, Atal tunnel and Lahaul valley, both major tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh, have reopened for visitors.
The Manali-Atal Tunnel-Keylong highway was closed for tourism beyond Solang valley after snowfall on January 5. Thousands of tourists had to return from Manali without visiting the tunnel for which they had planned their trip. As the weather is dry and temperature has increased a little, tourists are now being allowed to visit tunnel and entire Lahaul valley. Many tourists visited tunnel and enjoyed the snow-covered Lahaul on Friday.
