Staff at a Nottinghamshire hotel intervened when a woman tried to escape from her violent partner as he dragged her back to their room. She fled after carer Arian Dervisholli hit her head on the headboard of a bed and put his hand over her mouth in a room at at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham.
Other incidents of violence included him dragging her out of a shower at her parent's home, pinning her against a mirror in a different hotel and holding her by her throat, and holding her in a headlock in Abbey Road Park, West Bridgford.
Dervisholl, aged 26, of Prince of Wales Road, Chalk Farm, North West London, pleaded guilty to assault, causing bodily harm, assault by beating and two charges of common assault. He was sentenced to two years in prison on Friday (February 10) - but the term will be reduced by 423 days he has spent on a qualifying curfew.
A restraining order was made for three years.
