A flat block in Hillington has been badly damaged by a fire that left one person needing medical treatment.
Firefighters were called to reports of a blaze on Tinwald Path around 8.20pm on Sunday.
The fire broke out in a fourth-floor flat in an eight-storey building.
Five fire engines were dispatched to the scene and were able to bring the fire under control.
There were no serious injuries as a result of the fire but a man person was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Crews eventually left the scene on Monday morning after ensuring the area was made safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.17pm on Sunday, March 20, to reports of a fire within a fourth-floor flat in an eight-storey block of flats in Tinwald Path, Glasgow.
“Operations control immediately mobilised five fire engines to the location and firefighters extinguished the fire. One casualty was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and handed over to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 8.30pm, police were made aware of a fire at a flat in Tinwald Path. Emergency services attended and one man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Enquiries are under way to establish the cause of the fire."
