HighPoint launched the RocketAIC 6542AWW, an industry-first external RAID storage drive with 492 TB of storage. It achieves this through eight Solidigm D5-P5336 NVME SSDs that deliver 61.44TB each while delivering a 28-GB/s “real-world” transfer speed.

According to HighPoint, the most outstanding characteristic of this device is that it’s smaller than a shoebox, measuring just 9.25 x 8.27 x 4.84 inches (L x W x H). By comparison, a typical shoebox is 13 x 7.5 x 4.75 inches.
