Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love led a 93-yard scoring drive and tied the game at 7-7 with a 19-yard touchdown pass to rookie receiver Jayden Reed in the first half of Saturday night’s preseason showdown with the New England Patriots.
Love was 2-of-2 passing for 61 yards and the touchdown pass on the drive. He also scrambled once for 11 yards and drew a 15-yard penalty on the slide.
The five-play, 93-yard drive needed just over two minutes to complete.
The big play was a 42-yard completion to Romeo Doubs, who won deep, made the contested catch and got two feet down in bounds. The play was initially called incomplete, but Matt LaFleur successfully challenged the call to move Green Bay from the 8-yard line to midfield. Doubs did a terrific job dragging his second foot inbounds.
After a scramble, Love stayed poised in the pocket and fired a perfect ball to Reed, who made the catch on the run and sprinted into the end zone for his first preseason touchdown as a Packer.
