The Kansas City Chiefs are going into the 2024 season with four experienced quarterbacks heading up the new-look offense, although not all four can make the 53-man roster.
The signal-callers currently on the Chiefs roster for the preseason are star quarterback Patrick Mahomes who sits at the top of Kansas City’s depth chart with former Philadephia Eagle Carson Wentz as his backup. Chris Oladokun will take the third spot behind Wentz, and Ian Book will be Kansas City’s final option under center.
Now that training camp in St. Joseph has wrapped up, the Chiefs’ official Twitter account posted a compilation of highlight reel footage featuring the cast of quarterbacks’ exemplary performances at training camp.

Mahomes is expected to start and likely play through the first half when the Chiefs face the Detriot Lions on Saturday, after the half he will hand over the reins so Wentz, Oladokun, and Book can try to earn a place on the roster by impressing Andy Reid and Matt Nagy.
Wentz looks like a likely favorite to remain, however, the two remaining preseason games will inform the Chiefs’ decision on who to keep moving into the regular season.
