High temperature advisory extended for weekend

A nationwide high-temperature advisory for the Republic of Ireland has been extended for the entire weekend.

Irish forecasting agency Met Éireann said the impact of the prolonged spell of hot and dry weather would continue despite temperatures falling “somewhat from recent high levels”.
