Two high growth Hull firms have joined the city’s business leadership support organisation as key partners.
Connexin and Neill & Brown are on board with the royally-recognised For Entrepreneurs Only, helping to boost the region’s economy by inspiring others.
Smart city and internet of things specialist Connexin has just taken on substantial new premises at K3 Business Park off Clough Road, with chief executive Furqan Alamgir underlining the expansion as he looked forward to fostering a stronger relationship.

Mr Alamgir, who recently became a director of FEO, said: “Connexin is committed to supporting our local economy, and we’re making big moves - just recently, we opened our brand-new headquarters in Hull having made a commitment to stay in the region. Since 2020, we have invested over £100 million into the region, creating over 150 jobs. Our new key partnership with FEO is an extension of our ongoing efforts. We’re excited to support such an established group and community, and hope the partnership allows for many more businesses to flourish in Hull and East Yorkshire.”
Neill & Brown Global Logistics Group has pledged to further support the community interest company with helping local entrepreneurs to start, adapt and grow businesses.
Peter Brown, chief executive, said: “Hull and the Humber have been our base for over a century, it has been a good area for our business, we are delighted to be supporting FEO to encourage and generate talent for tomorrow from the experience of business leaders today, to keep our area a serious contender in the world of business.”
FEO is made up of entrepreneurs representing more than 200 successful businesses of all sizes and sectors. Its members employ more than 24,000 people and contribute more than £4 billion to the local economy. The group runs peer-led programmes and events throughout the year with the aim to help entrepreneurs start, adapt and grow their businesses. In 2021 it was awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Jan Brumby, chief executive, said she was proud to welcome both as key partners, describing both as “fine examples of local business success stories, with great aspiration, ambition and customer focus”.
She added: “They are very supportive of FEO’s mission and vision and being based locally, they truly are giving something back to the local economy in which they operate. Their support, along with that of our other valued key partners helps us to continue the great work our members do in helping entrepreneurs to start, adapt and grow their businesses. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their support and involvement.”
Connexin and Neill and Brown take the number of key partners to eight, joining Cranswick Plc, Gosschalks, Horncastle Group, MKM Building Supplies, Smailes Goldie and The One Point.
