Hidden goldmine! How NSE IPO will unlock Rs 95,000 crore value for over 20 listed companies

The National Stock Exchange's upcoming IPO could put a large hidden value on the books of several listed companies, with 26 listed shareholders together holding NSE shares worth about Rs 94,619 crore at the tentative upper price of Rs 1,785 apiece. The calculation is based on the number of NSE shares held by listed companies as on filing of DRHP.

The biggest beneficiary in this list is Life Insurance Corporation, which holds 26.53 crore NSE shares. At Rs 1,785 per share, LIC's holding would be worth about Rs 47,351 crore. LIC is also the largest shareholder in NSE, with a 10.72% stake.
