Central Coast Mariners boss Nick Montgomery has told Hibs to allow Lewis Miller to adapt in Scottish football after he committed his future to the Premiership club.
The Australian youth international has impressed down under in the former Scotland u21s player's A League team but is moving to Edinburgh from competitors MacArthur FC. The defender signed a pre-contract with the club prior to agreeing his switch to Scotland following inclusion in the A League Team of the Season.
A right-back with the potential to play on the left of defence, Miller has made 56 career appearances to date after breaking through at Central Coast and now has his big chance with Hibs, who are heading out for warm weather pre-season training in Portugal amid a raft of new signings. Eight fresh recruits have joined the Hibees, including former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady and promising Portuguese talent Jair Tavares from Lisbon giants Benfica.
