Hibs have a number of loan stars at Easter Road who have proved important to Lee Johnson's squad so far this season.
The likes of attacker Elie Youan, who has produced four goals and six assists including good performances against Celtic, Hearts and Rangers, has an option to buy on his season-long arrangement from Swiss side St. Gallen. Meanwhile the likes of defender Will Fish from Manchester United and American forward Matthew Hoppe from Middlesbrough are also on loan but have found form recently.
Hibs chief Kensell admits the finances are there to make some loan deals a permanent switch and that in the case of Frenchman Youan conversations have already taken place. He also admits it wouldn't be a 'calculated risk' for the club to extend stays past the summer.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: “There are too many variables to say whether we can or can’t do deals but in terms of having conversations, we absolutely are, so we can ascertain what value we would need to get to, to bring them to the club on a full-time basis.
“Firstly there’s another club involved, so you need to have discussions with them, and the player needs to want it to happen as well. Certain contracts that we have allow us options, like we have with Élie.”
He added: "If you’re asking me if I believe the finances are in place to make decisions that are educated based on them being at HTC and playing in Scottish football and doing well for Hibs then the answer is yes.
"They aren’t calculated risks, we know what they can do."
